Complex Trauma/Complex PTSD (CPTSD) Therapy in Portland, OR
Reclaim Your Life
Struggling with Complex PTSD?
Living with Complex PTSD (CPTSD) can feel overwhelming, affecting everything from your relationships to your sense of self. CPTSD often comes from ongoing trauma—such as childhood abuse, neglect, or difficult, long-term relationships—that leaves you feeling stuck in shame, isolation, or emotional turmoil. But healing is possible.
Do these struggles feel familiar?
Feeling emotionally numb or constantly anxious
Having a hard time trusting others
Difficulties in relationships or patterns of co-dependency
Struggling with low self-worth, guilt, or shame
Feeling disconnected from yourself or not knowing who you really are
If any of this resonates, I understand how heavy it can be. At my practice, I help people just like you find relief from the weight of CPTSD and start to feel safe within themselves again.
What is CPTSD?
Unlike PTSD, which typically develops from a single traumatic event, CPTSD arises from repeated, long-term trauma, often beginning in childhood. Whether you experienced emotional or physical abuse, neglect, or hurtful relationships, CPTSD can make it feel like you’re stuck in survival mode, disconnected from yourself and the world around you.
How It Works
As a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in working with CPTSD. My goal is to help you navigate through your past, process difficult emotions, and find new ways to cope with the stress and pain that feel overwhelming right now. Together, we’ll work to help you feel more in control of your emotions and more connected to your authentic self.
How I can help:
Depth therapy: Explores the unconscious roots of emotions and behaviors, fostering deep self-awareness and lasting change.
Brainspotting: This technique helps uncover where trauma is stored in your body, allowing us to process and release it at a deeper level.
Somatic Therapy: Through grounding and body-based techniques, we’ll work to regulate your nervous system and help you feel more emotionally balanced.
Parts Work & Inner Child Healing: Together, we’ll explore the different parts of you that carry pain and help them feel safe and integrated.
Therapy Tailored to You
Healing from complex trauma isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey—it’s personal, and it takes time. I’ll work with you to develop self-regulation skills, build safe and supportive relationships, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have felt lost or fragmented.
As a queer-identified therapist, I also offer affirming care for the LGBTQ+ community, understanding how identity-based trauma can shape your experience with CPTSD.

While we will explore the effects of your past trauma, my approach is gentle and client-led, ensuring that you feel safe throughout the process. You won’t be forced to relive traumatic experiences if you’re not ready or if you don't want to. Instead of focusing solely on the events themselves, we work together to understand how the trauma has impacted your sense of self, your relationships, and how you view the world. The goal is to heal these lasting effects in a way that feels manageable and supportive, without overwhelming you.
